Science and Technology

Killara students are provided with innovative Science and Technology
programs that allow them to learn about their natural and built environments through investigating, designing, making, problem solving and applying  technology. Students are encouraged to develop independent and rational thought and responsible action.
Killara students have been involved in:

  • Clean-up Australia Day, including a household survey of plastic bag usage and a school litter audit
  • Earth Hour evening picnic
  • Walk Safely to School Day
  • World Environment Day mini-concert
  • Rubbish Free Lunch challenge

"Envirophone " mobile phone recycling project

Our students interact and learn with a wide range of scientific equipment, computer software and Internet resources. Our Science and Technology programs are complimented with hands- on incursions from the CSIRO and Mad Science professionals.
