Our innovative mathematics programs produce impressive results and challenge the learning needs of each student.
Students at Killara Public School are engaged in creative, meaningful and effective programs that instil mathematical thinking, understanding and confidence in applying Mathematics to their everyday lives. The students are taught within each of the five content strands:
- Number
- Patterns and Algebra
- Data
- Measurement
- Space and Geometry
Within each content strand one essential process - 'Working Mathematically' is reinforced.
Our Mathematics programs are supported by the use of a variety of materials and equipment including computer software and internet resources. Killara students are active participants in 'Mathletics' and 'Count Me In Too'.
